Oaks Eagle Pride Marching Band at DisneylandUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
On Friday, February 3rd, The Oaks Middle School Eagle Pride Marching Band and Auxiliaries performed at Disneyland.  Marching down Disneyland's Main Street has become an annual tradition for Oaks.  Each year Disneyland marks the being of Parade season.  This year The Eagle Pride Marching Band will also march in the Temple City Camelia Festival Parade, and the Laguna Beach Patriot's Day Parade.  Watch the Video above.

Oaks Students Visit USCUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
     On Saturday, January 21, 2012, AVID, ASB and After School Sports students from Oaks Middle School took part in an educational and extracurricular fieldtrip to the University of Southern California.  Their field trip included a self-guided tour of the campus and a women's basketball game.  The Lady Trojans lost to the Oregon State Beavers in over-time. 
 
     The focus of the field trip was to expose students to a university setting.  Prior to the field trip, students received copies of a self-guide map and created a Field Trip Notebook that will accompany them on all their future college field trips.   Students took notes in their Field Trip Notebooks as Oaks staff, parents, and volunteers escorted them on the tour.   Various student tour groups took pictures in front of the historic "Tommy the Trojan" statue, toured the library and observed the display of BCS National Championship trophies in Heritage Hall.  Students represented themselves, Oaks and OMSD with pride and had a wonderful time experiencing campus life at USC for the day

Saturday, January 28th is the Oaks Eagle Pride Band & Auxiliaries annual Demonstration.  This Event is trhe "Dress Rehearsal" for the band's marching season.  On February 3rd our Eagle Pride Band will be marching down Main Street at Disneyland.

Oaks AVID classes and ASB had the opportunity to visit the University of Southern California on Saturday, January 22.  They toured the campus and then attended a USC Women's Basketball game.

OAKS SOFTBALL SEASONUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
On Monday, October 17, softball season opened with Oaks playing Serrano at Oaks.  The Oaks Boys and Girls teams were both victorious.  The Girls won by a score of 14 to 3.  The Boys team won 3 to 0.  
 
Game 2, October 19th at Vernon, had mixed results.  The Boys continued winning with a 3-2 victory.  Ours Girls suffered a setback, losing 3-11.
 
As the season continues, Oaks is doing GREAT!  Game 3, October 24th, against Vina Danks was a sweep.  The Girls won 26 to 3 and the Boys won 8 to 7. 
 
Game 4 was held at De Anza.  The Oaks Eagles had mixed results.  The Girls won with a score of 16 to 5.  The Boys suffered their 1st loss, 5 to 16. 
 
Game 5 against Wiltsey was a triumph for the Eagles.  The Boys won 6 to 5.  The Girls dominated 7 to 0.
 
Both the Girls and Boys ended the season with 4 wins and 1 loss.
 
Congratulations to The Mighty Eagles.
