One of the things that El Camino School is the most proud of is their strong community connections. Through relationships that have built over time, and the new ones that have been developed each year, El Camino is able to provide their students with amazing resources, such as food baskets, shoes, and even connections to medical clinics. All of this is made possible by the wonderful agencies that provide the students of the school such services and so much more!
Each year, El Camino hosts a Volunteer Agencies’ Tea. Through the coordination of the School Family Outreach Assistant, Miss Gladis Conroy, and Assistant Principal, Jean DeJong, each agency is invited to send a representative to receive El Camino’s sincere thanks for the services and resources provided to students.
El Camino shows their gratitude through a lovely tea, complete with finger sandwiches and baked goods, tea or coffee, served to them by Miss Conroy, Mrs. DeJong, and Mrs. Gettler, the site principal. Each agency is recognized with a certificate and a pin, as well as a party favor from the event.
