Visual and Performing Arts consists of various forms of art, dance, instrumental, and vocal music.  General education teachers throughout the district have access to arts support materials, such as the district VAPA pacing guide, the state framework, and the SPARK (Physical Education) curriculum.  Ontario-Montclair employs highly trained musicians, artists, dance, and physical education specialists to ensure students receive a well rounded education.  Additionally, OMSD has created and continues to support an Arts-integrated elementary school.  “One of our jobs as educators is to nurture our students’ creativity and knowledge.”  District resources are used to bring arts performances to the schools and to transport students to events.  Ontario-Montclair asks that all education stakeholders collaborate with schools to ensure that students have a variety of experiences for imagining, exploring, and creating the visual and performing arts.
