Please read the following information as it pertains to prior testing needed before applying on Edjoin per link below.

Some positions require prior testing by OMSD(OMSD typing test,NCLB compliance(CODESP-Instructional Aide Test),custodial and bilingual)-NEW Testing information below:

  • Due to the volume of applications received a new testing procedure has been implemented to facilitate the employment process. Testing must now be completed prior to the closing deadline and the required certificate attached to the application. We will  be testing for various positions on an ongoing basis.  See calendar on line for test dates schedule.   •   Due to limited testing dates and times it is suggested you test and maintain the certificates needed in preparation for a posting. Effective August 16, 2010, a fee of $10 will be assessed for all pre-employment testing, payable in cash to the Hardy Center. Testing is walk-in unless otherwise specified on the calendar announcement. If you submit an application for a position that requires testing and you have not completed the testing or have not attached the necessary document, your application will be disqualified for that posting. The District is not responsible for incomplete applications.

All Instructional Aide applications must have have one of the following: *Associates degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher learning, or *48 semester transferable units(official transcripts) or *successfully completed a District approved test ie; (OMSD Instructional aide test (CODESP), or CBEST); Applicants must also include a verification of High School diploma/G.E.D if Associates degree is not submitted as an attachment to the application.

All Classified jobs require a high school diploma, a copy of the High School Diploma or equivalency must be submitted as an attachment with your online application. See job description or posting for specific requirements. 

Substitute positions will be posted as the need arises on Edjoin.org 

Upon acceptance of the District’s offer of employment, new hires may be required to complete a baseline physical examination prior to the first day of employment.

The District is not responsible for incomplete applications. Due to the volume of applications we receive it is not possible to give information over the phone regarding the status of applications. Notification will be sent through the e-mail system as the posting progresses.
